A late Paleolithic site in the Charente department in southwestern France. It is located about 15 km southeast of Angoulême. Excavations were carried out by Martin H. Martin in 1927-29. The open space called "Atelier" is located on the slope of a deep valley and is rectangular with cut stones behind it. The excavation revealed that Paleolithic people made fire and made tools around it. Various animal figures are carved like a frieze into the cut limestone surrounding the "Atelier".
