The general term for the straits in the northern Philippines between the northern tip of Luzon and the southern tip of Taiwan. They are waterways connecting the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea. Specifically, they consist of three straits: the Babuyan Strait between the northern coast of Luzon and the Babuyan Islands, the Balitang Strait between the northern Babuyan Islands and the Batan Islands, and the Bashi Strait between the northern Batan Islands and the southern tip of Taiwan.
