There are two known names for Russian legal codes. (1) The Russkaya Pravda, a collection of laws enacted in Russia in the 11th and 12th centuries, is the oldest in Russia and consists of the older "Concise" (42 articles) and the "Expanded" (121 articles), which amended the older code and added many new articles. The "Concise" is further divided into the "Laws of Yaroslav the Wise" (the "Oldest Pravda"), enacted during the time of Yaroslav the Wise (first half of the 11th century), and the "Laws of the Sons of Yaroslav" (the "Oldest Pravda"), enacted during the time of his sons (second half of the 11th century).
