Kim Changjo - Kim Changjo

Japanese: 金昌祚 - きんしょうそ
Kim Changjo - Kim Changjo

...It is a Korean musical form for solo instruments, consisting of several movements based on a unique rhythm pattern (long and short), and is generally accompanied by a jogak. It is said that Kim Changjo (1865-1920) from South Jeolla Province established the music as sanjo in the late 19th century, but because of the similarities in its musical structure, unique melody, and instrumental techniques, it can be said to have developed under the influence of Sinawi, an improvised instrumental ensemble that has been handed down in Jeolla Province for a long time. Many masters subsequently emerged, and performances of sanjo named after the composers became widespread, with the Kim Jukpa School, Shim Sangkeon School, and Seong Geum Hyeon School being particularly famous.
