Iztaccíhuatl (mountain) (English spelling)

Japanese: イスタクシワトル[山]（英語表記）Iztaccíhuatl

A volcano in the Tlaxbersar Mountains in central Mexico. Also known as Ixtacihuatl. It is 5,386m above sea level. It is the third highest mountain in Mexico after Mount Orizaba and Mount Popocatepetl, and is located 65km southeast of the capital, Mexico City, on the border between the states of Mexico and Puebla, and belongs to Popocatepetl National Park. It has three snow-capped peaks, and although it last erupted in 1868, there is no crater now. The name of the mountain means "white woman" in Nahuatl. [Tajima Hisashi]
