The wife of Isaac, the patriarch of ancient Israel. Abraham sent his servants to his hometown to select Rebekah, who was hardworking, considerate, and beautiful, for his son Isaac. Isaac loved Rebekah, and she gave birth to twins Esau and Jacob, but she favored Jacob and cooperated with him in obtaining his father's blessing, which should have been given to his eldest son Esau (Genesis 24, 27).
