Complete Works of Tachibana

Japanese: 立花大全 - りっかだいぜん
Complete Works of Tachibana
An enlightening manual on tachibana among Ikebana. Also called "Kokin Tachibana Daizen." Published in 1683 (Tenwa 3). Five volumes. The author is not mentioned, but according to "Zoushosho Fūtai Tachibana Daizen" (1696), it was Juichiya Taemon, a disciple of the second Ikenobo Senko. Aiming to popularize the exemplary tachibana style perfected by Senko, this was the first to systematically theorize the techniques of tachibana and "suna no mono." This was also the first book to refer to tachibana as "rikka" rather than "tatehana."
