One of the twenty-four divisions. It is believed that the beginning of summer marks the beginning of the summer season. It is the fourth month of the lunisolar calendar (first half of April), which begins on the day when the sun's ecliptic longitude reaches 45° (May 5th or 6th in the solar calendar) and lasts for about 15 days until the day before Shoman (when the sun's ecliptic longitude reaches 60°, May 21st or 22nd), but in the current calendar it refers to the first day of this period. This is the so-called "green mountain nightingale in the eyes" period, which in ancient China was further divided into three periods (frogs singing, earthworms emerging, and king cucumbers growing), each of which lasts for five days. This refers to the period when green frogs (frogs) sing, earthworms emerge, and cucumbers ripen.
