A Korean civil servant and scholar in the late Goryeo period. His pen name was Zhongfu and his pen name was Gajeong. He was from Hansan. He passed the civil service examinations in both Goryeo and Yuan, and made distinguished contributions to the difficult diplomatic relations of the time. He participated in the compilation of the Annals of Chronology and the Annals of the Three Dynasties, and 20 volumes of the Gajeong Collection have been handed down. He is also famous for the inscription on the Mongolian bell at Yeonboksa Temple in Kaesong. His Biography of Lady Bamboo is a work that imitates the legendary prose of ancient Tang and Song literati, personifying bamboo and praising the importance of integrity for women, expressing the refreshing ideas of the emerging class of Confucian scholars at the time. His posthumous name was Munhyo. Yi Saek was his son.

朝鮮，高麗末期の文臣，学者。字は仲父，号は稼亭。韓山の人。高麗と元の科挙にいずれも及第し，当時の困難な外交関係に功労があった。《編年綱目》《三朝実録》の編纂に参与し，《稼亭集》20巻が伝わる。他に開城演福寺の蒙古鐘の銘文が有名。《竹夫人伝》は，唐･宋古文家の伝奇文に倣い，竹を擬人化して婦人の節義の尊さを説いた作品で，当時新興の朱子学者層の清新な理念が表現されている。諡号（しごう）は文孝。李穡（りしよく）はその子である。
