Egota River

...The main stream of the Kanda River originates from the Inokashira Pond, and the Zenpukuji River originates from the Zenpukuji Pond, and their water is seepage from the gravel layer of the Musashino Plateau. The other tributaries, the Myoshoji River and the Ekoda River, also have seepage water from the valley head and cliff edge, and this water has been a source of irrigation water for the valley rice fields since ancient times. Dye factories are concentrated downstream of the Myoshoji River and along the main stream of the Kanda River, because they can obtain the same type of water from the bottom of the cliffs and have the advantage of being able to discharge factory wastewater into the river.
