A document included in the Apostolic Fathers. It was written by a Gentile Christian sometime between 70 and 140. Since this book is named after the Apostle Barnabas, it was highly regarded in ancient times, but its contents do not qualify as the Book of Barnabas. It is more like a sermon or theological treatise than a letter, and chapters 2-17 criticize the Jewish understanding of revelation while quoting the Old Testament, while chapters 18-20 offer moral advice in the form of two paths: the "way of light" and the "way of darkness."
