[Died] July 5, 764, Xuzhou, China. A military commander in the mid-Tang Dynasty. Born in Liucheng, Yingzhou (Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province). Posthumous name Wu Mu. A descendant of the Khitan. Excellent in cavalry and archery, he was highly valued by the Tang Dynasty when the An Lushan Rebellion broke out in 755. He fought bravely in various parts of Hebei. In 760, he became Grand Marshal and Secretary of the Central Secretariat, and replaced Guo Ziyi as Shuofang Jiedushi. He then served as the Chief Marshal of the World War Horses and was instrumental in putting down the rebellion. Known by the world as "Li Guo," he was praised as the greatest military hero of the Restoration. He was enfeoffed as King of Linhuai, and posthumously awarded the title of Taibao.

中国，唐中期の武将。営州柳城 (遼寧省朝陽県) の人。諡は武穆。契丹の後裔。騎射軍略にすぐれ，天宝 14 (755) 年安史の乱が起ると唐朝に重用され，河北各地で奮戦，上元1 (760) 年太尉兼中書令となり，郭子儀に代って朔方節度使となった。次いで天下兵馬都元帥として乱の鎮圧に尽した。世に「李郭」と併称され，中興の戦功第一とうたわれた。臨淮王に封じられ，死後，太保を贈られた。
