Wu Yue - Goetsu

Japanese: 呉越 - ごえつ

The states of Wu and Yue in the Spring and Autumn Period in China. Also, the people of Wu and the people of Yue. By extension, it is a metaphor for bad relations and hostility, as King Fuchai of Wu and King Goujian of Yue often fought each other. Also, a metaphor for being far apart. ※Kaifuso (751), Shaku Chizoden: "He sent _two scholars _to the Tang Dynasty. At that time between Wu and Yue, _{there were two} highly educated _nuns .
