An Islamic mystic thinker. He is the founder of the Dasuki order, a mystical sect (tariqa). He was born in Dasuki, downstream of the Nile in Egypt, and died there. While strictly adhering to the precepts of Sunni Islam, the religious ceremonies of this sect contain elements that seem to have originated from the Coptic Church and ancient Egyptian rituals. For this reason, the sect's influence never left Egypt. [Matsumoto Kouro]

イスラム神秘主義思想家。神秘主義教団(タリーカ)の一つダスーキー教団の創設者である。エジプトのナイル川下流のダスークに生まれ，その地で没した。スンナ派の戒律を厳しく守りながらも，この教団の宗教儀礼にはコプト教会や古代エジプトの祭儀に由来すると思われる要素がみられる。このため，この教団の勢力はエジプトから外に出ることはなかった。【松本耿郎】
