Rikushingen

A scholar from the late Qing Dynasty in China. His courtesy name was Goufu, and his pen names were Cunsai and Qianyuan Lao. He was from Guian (Wuxing County, Zhejiang Province). He was a Juren in 1859 (the 9th year of the Xianfeng era) and distinguished himself in the slaying of the Taiping Rebellion, and held the position of Fujian Salt Envoy. He has over 100 books published in the Song Dynasty and over 400 books published in the Yuan Dynasty stored in the Hyokusong Building, making him one of the four great book collectors of the late Qing Dynasty. His collection was purchased by the Iwasaki family in 1907 (Meiji 40) and is now in the Seikado Bunko. His collection of writings includes the Yi Gu Tangshu, which he named after Gu Yanwu as a personal admirer of his, the Qianyuan Collected Works, which is a collection of his works on history, epigraphy, and bibliography such as Song Shi Wi, and the Jumankanlou Sosho, which was published at the same time.

中国、清(しん)末の学者。字(あざな)は剛父(ごうほ)、号は存斎、潜園老人。帰安（浙江(せっこう)省呉興(ごこう)県）の人。1859年（咸豊9）の挙人、太平天国掃討に戦功あり、官は福建塩運使に至る。宋(そう)刊本100余種、元(げん)刊本400余種を皕宋(ひょくそう)楼に蔵し、清末四大蔵書家の一人。その蔵書は1907年（明治40）岩崎家に購入され、いま静嘉堂(せいかどう)文庫にある。顧炎武(こえんぶ)に私淑して名づけたその文集『儀顧堂集』をはじめ、『宋史翼』など史学、金石、書誌にわたるその著を集めた『潜園総集』、またその刊刻になる『十万巻楼叢書(そうしょ)』がある。
