A Chinese scholar of the Qing dynasty, born in Ganquan (Jiangsu Province). His pen name was Zibiao and his pen name was Mingxiang. He was knowledgeable in astronomy and mathematics, and inherited and developed the Tianyuanshu (a type of algebra) that had developed in the Song and Yuan dynasties. He wrote works such as the Siyuan Yujian Xicao (Siyuan Yujian Xicao) (24 volumes, 1834), which introduced the work of Yuan mathematician Zhu Shijie, and the Zhou Zhuren Zhuan (Continued Biographies of Mathematicians and Astronomers) (6 volumes, 40), which succeeded Ruan Yuan's Zhuren Zhuan (Collection of Biographies of Mathematicians and Astronomers).

中国，清の学者。甘泉 (江蘇省) の人。字は次びょう，号は茗香。天文学，数学に詳しく，宋，元代に発達した天元術 (一種の代数学) を継承，発展させた。元の数学者朱世傑の仕事を広く紹介した『四元玉鑑細草』 (24巻，1834) や，阮元の『疇人伝』 (数学者，天文学者の伝記集) の跡を継いだ『続疇人伝』 (6巻，40) などを著わした。
