Lao Chu (Old Wine) - Lao Chu
It is a general term for the older varieties of the Chinese brewed alcoholic beverage, Huangjiu, but nowadays it is used to refer to Shaoxing wine that has been stored for a long time. It is made from grains such as glutinous rice, corn, sorghum, and foxtail millet. It is often served with rock sugar, but like sake, it is warmed appropriately and drunk as is. → Chinese alcoholic beverage
