Unkyu Shichisen - Unkyu Shichisen

Japanese: 雲笈七籤 - うんきゅうしちせん
Unkyu Shichisen - Unkyu Shichisen

A general guide to Taoism. Written by Zhang Junfang of the Northern Song Dynasty in China. It consists of 122 volumes. It was compiled at the end of the reign of Emperor Renzong (around 1030). It is a book that contains the essence of the Daoist Canon, called the "Little Daoist Canon," and was compiled by Zhang Junfang under the command of Wang Qinruo at the command of Emperor Zhenzong in the "Great Song Heavenly Official Treasure House" (1019, no longer extant). It is called the "Little Daoist Canon." It consists of seven parts: Doshin, Dogen, Doshin, Taigen, Taihei, Taisei, and Zhengyi, and is therefore called the Seven Canons. Volumes 1 to 28 are general explanations of the Taoist doctrine, volumes 29 to 86 explain the techniques of food and clothing, revitalization, internal and external alchemy, prescriptions, talismans, guarding the Geng Shen, and resolving the corpse, and volumes 87 and onward contain poetry, legends, and other Taoist related matters. There are three types of published versions: the Daozang edition published by Hanfenlou in Shanghai, the Qingzhenguan edition by Zhang Xuan in the Ming Dynasty, and the Daozang Jiyao edition from the Qing Dynasty. The Siku Quanshu includes the edition owned by Sun Yangzeng's family in Zhejiang. There are some differences in the wording between these published and annotated versions.
