This is one of the theories of Chinese medicine that tries to explain the physiological phenomena of the human body by Yin-Yang and the Five Elements. The name "Unqi Theory" comes from the assertion that the human body is influenced by the movement of the five elements (five elements) of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, and the six elements of wind, heat, moisture, fire, dryness, and cold, and that an excess or deficiency of these causes abnormalities in the corresponding organs and meridians, resulting in illness. The theory is based on the "Suwen" ("Huangdi Neijing"), and is directly based on the so-called "Seven Chapters on Unqi" in the book. Therefore, this theory existed in the Tang dynasty, but it did not become popular until the Song dynasty, and in the Southern Song dynasty it was even included in the examination subjects of the Taimu Bureau.
