…(a) American Blend: A blend of about 40% yellow-bean, 15% oriental, and 30% burley (with 15% vein part added), with a large amount of flavoring added to the burley, and a special heat processing process, resulting in the unique aroma and flavor of burley-processed leaves. It originated from Camel, which was released in the United States in 1913. In 1954, the filter cigarette Winston, released by the American company RJ Reynolds Industries (see the American Brands entry), became a huge hit, ushering in the era of filter cigarettes, and the demand for American Blend has been growing worldwide (in Japan, Cherry, Mild Seven, Cabin, etc.). …
