A publishing house opened by Egusa Ootaro in 1877 in Hitotsubashi, Kanda, Tokyo. It started out as a second-hand bookstore called Yushikaku, and in 1879 changed its name to Yuhikaku and began publishing. It mainly publishes books related to social sciences, especially law. It has also suffered from the suppression of free speech due to the works of Morito Tatsuo and Minobe Tatsukichi. Its capital is 450 million yen.
