Yuki Ujitomo

A military commander in the Muromachi period. He was the son of Oyama Yasutomo and the adopted son of Shimousa Yuki Mitsuhiro. He was Nakatsukasa no Taifu and a Junior Fifth Rank. He inherited the family headship around 1416 (Oei 23), and began acting as the head of the Yuki family after his grandfather Motomitsu died in 1430 (Eikyō 2). He deepened his conflict with the Uesugi clan, who had been his enemies since the previous generation, and supported Ashikaga Mochiuji in the Eikyō Rebellion in 1438. In 1540, when Yasuomaru and Haruomaru, the surviving children of Mochiuji, raised an army, he welcomed them to Yuki Castle and united the Kanto clans (the Utsunomiya and Oyama clans, the Nasu clan, the Iwamatsu clan, etc.) to fight against the shogunate and Uesugi forces (the Battle of Yuki). However, he was defeated on April 16, the following year (1541, Kakitsu 1), and committed suicide with his son Mochitomo and others.

室町時代の武将。小山泰朝(おやまやすとも)の子で、下総(しもうさ)結城満広(みつひろ)の養子。中務大輔(なかつかさのたいふ)、従(じゅ)五位下。1416年（応永23）ごろ家督継承、祖父基光(もとみつ)が死去した30年（永享2）以降結城家当主としての活動を開始。前代から敵対していた上杉氏との対立を深め、38年永享(えいきょう)の乱では足利持氏(あしかがもちうじ)を支援。40年持氏の遺児安王(やすおう)丸、春王(はるおう)丸が挙兵するとこれを結城城に迎え、関東諸家（宇都宮(うつのみや)、小山氏の一族や那須(なす)、岩松氏など）を糾合して幕府・上杉軍に抗戦（結城合戦）したが、翌41年（嘉吉1）4月16日敗れて子の持朝(もちとも)らと自殺。
