1688‐1713
A Slovak bandit from Terchová in northwestern Slovakia. During Ferenc Rákóczi's war of liberation from the Austrian Habsburgs in Hungary (1703-11), he led small bands throughout northwestern and central Slovakia, attacking landowners, merchants, and churches. He was captured in 1713 and hanged in Liptovský Mikuláš. His military exploits spread to neighboring countries and became the subject of many folk tales and national poetry.

スロバキアの山賊。スロバキア北西部のテルホバー出身。ハンガリーのオーストリア･ハプスブルク家の支配に対するラーコーツィ･フェレンツの解放戦争(1703‐11)当時，小部隊を率いて北西･中央スロバキア一帯を荒らし回り，ことに地主，商人，教会を襲った。1713年捕縛されて，リプトフスキー･ミクラーシュLiptovský Mikulášで絞首刑に処せられた。彼の武勲は近隣諸国まで伝わり，数多くの民話，民族的詩歌の題材となった。
