Nurse - Kangosi

Japanese: 看護士 - かんごし
Nurse - Kangosi

This is the name of the qualification for men who provide medical care and assistance to the sick and injured or postpartum women, enacted by Law No. 84 of 1968, which partially amended the Public Health Nurse, Midwife, and Nurse Law (Law No. 203 of 1948). In March 2002, the Law Partially Amending the Public Health Nurse, Midwife, and Nurse Law (Law No. 153 of 2001) changed the title to "nurse" to be unified for both men and women.
