〘Noun〙 In the Ritsuryo system, this was an office under the jurisdiction of the Imperial Household Ministry. It was the office in charge of the construction of the Imperial Palace and the preparation of timber. It had four ranks of officials, namely, Kashira (equivalent to Junior Fifth Rank Upper), Suke, Dai and Shonosuke, and Dai and Shozoku, as well as officials such as the Ministry of Construction.
