Meng Tian - Moten

A general of the Qin Dynasty in China. His ancestors were from Qi. His grandfather Meng Ao and father Wu served as generals under King Zhao (reigned 306-251 BC) and Shi Huang (reigned 247-210 BC) of the Warring States period, respectively, and were distinguished by their achievements. Tian, along with his brother Yi, also served Shi Huang and was active as a general. When Qin unified the world (221 BC), he led 300,000 troops in a war against the Xiongnu and built the Great Wall from Lintao to Liaodong. However, after the death of Shi Huang, he was conspired against by the eunuch Zhao Gao, who had supported Shi Huang's youngest son Huhai as the second emperor, and was executed along with Shi Huang's eldest son Fusu. Tian committed suicide by taking poison.
