Yellow cover. Illustrations by Koikawa Harumachi. Published in 1781 (Tenmei 1). 3 volumes. Based on the Mirai-ki (Record of the Future), said to have been written by Prince Shotoku, this work depicts a fantasy of a time when society and human affairs had completely changed, based on the concept of showing a useless record of the future, around the time of the 33,333 generations of human kings. However, what is noteworthy about this work is that it is a satire that turns the reality of the times inside out, and it established the typical style of a record of the future in a yellow cover book.
