The transmission of electrical energy wirelessly. It is one of the dream technologies in electrical engineering, but has not yet been successful. Around the same time that GM Marconi conducted his experiments in wireless communication, that is, from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, American N. Tesla conducted experiments in wireless power transmission using a Tesla transformer, which he invented, as a power source, to send extremely low frequency radio waves from an antenna, which then received the waves via another antenna. Today, methods that use microwaves or light frequencies, which are much higher in frequency, are being considered.

無線で電気エネルギーを伝送すること。電気工学における夢の技術の一つであるがまだ成功していない。G.M.マルコーニが無線通信の実験を行ったのと同じころ，すなわち19世紀末から20世紀初めにかけて，アメリカのN.テスラはみずから発明したテスラ変圧器を電源としアンテナから超低周波の電波を送り，これをアンテナで受けるという方式の無線送電の実験を行った。今日でははるかに周波数の高いマイクロ波あるいは光の周波数を用いる方式が考えられている。
