Inuyama Line - Inuyama

...Abbreviated as Meitetsu. In addition to the Nagoya Main Line between Toyohashi, Shin-Nagoya and Shin-Gifu, it consists of numerous branch lines such as the Mikawa Line, Tokoname Line (Jingumae to Tokoname), Kowa Line, Inuyama Line (Biwajima Junction to Shin-Unuma), and Bisai Line, as well as the Minomachi Streetcar Line and the Monkey Park Monorail Line. It originated from the Inuyama Line built by Nagoya Electric Railroad, founded in 1894, and the Tokoname Line built by Aichi Electric Railroad, founded in 1910. Nagoya Electric Railroad went through periods when it was called Nagoya Railroad and Meigi Railroad, and merged with Aichi Electric Railroad in 1935 to become Nagoya Railroad.
