A general term for birds of the genus Phylloscopus , subfamily Muscicapidae, order Passeriformes. Includes 40 species. Length is 10-15cm. Most of the birds have inconspicuous brown, yellow or green plumage. They are widely distributed from Europe to Asia, and live in the trees of forests. Of the subfamily Muscicapinae, these warblers are the only ones that have adapted to live in the trees of forests.
