National Liberation War

Japanese: 民族解放戦争 - みんぞくかいほうせんそう

A war is a war waged by oppressed peoples in colonies or dependent countries to eliminate the rule and interference of their overlords and gain national independence. From ancient times, from the Roman Empire to the Spanish conquest of the New World, there have been countless wars in world history between nations, tribes, and tribes fighting against the rule of other peoples. However, in modern times, wars of national liberation began to occur after the outward expansion of Europe and the United States was accompanied by colonial rule, and the bourgeois ruling classes in the colonies, based on a certain degree of modern commodity production relations, began to mature and peoples began to feel that foreign rule and exploitation were a persistent hindrance to their own development.

植民地･従属国の被圧迫民族が，宗主国の支配･干渉を排除して民族の独立を獲得するためになされる戦争。古くはローマ帝国からスペイン人の新大陸征服にいたるまで，異民族の支配に対してこれとたたかう国家や種族や部族の戦争は世界史において枚挙にいとまがない。しかし近代における民族解放戦争は，欧米の対外膨張が植民地支配を伴い，植民地でもある程度の近代的商品生産関係に基づくブルジョア支配階級が成熟し，外国による支配･搾取をみずからの発展にとっての桎梏（しつこく）と感じるようになってからのことである。
