Ust'-Ilimsk (English spelling) Ust-Ilimsk

A city in Irkutsk Oblast in the central south of Russia. It is located on the Angara River near where the Ilim River, a tributary on the right bank, joins the Angara River. Population 105,500 (1999). There is a timber complex and a construction materials industry (gravel, crushed stone, concrete). The city was established in 1966 on the site of the construction and industrial base of the Ust-Ilim Hydroelectric Power Plant (output 4.32 million kilowatts), and became a city in 1973.

ロシア連邦中南部、イルクーツク州の都市。アンガラ川に右岸の支流イリム川が合流する付近のアンガラ川沿岸にある。人口10万5500（1999）。木材コンビナート、建設資材業（砂利、砕石、コンクリート）がある。ウスチ・イリム水力発電所（出力432万キロワット）の建設工業基地となった場所に、1966年からつくられた都市で、73年に市となった。
