Pulsating Star - Myakudosei

Japanese: 脈動星 - みゃくどうせい
Pulsating Star - Myakudosei
Also known as a pulsating variable star. A star whose brightness changes due to the repeated regular expansion and contraction of the star (pulsation). The pulsation is caused by the star's inherent vibration. A typical example is Delta Cepheus, whose brightness changes from magnitude 3.7 to 4.9 in a 5.4-day cycle. → Variable star
