A town in Minamimuro County in the southern part of Mie Prefecture, facing the Kumano Sea. Citrus cultivation, including mandarin oranges, has been thriving here since ancient times. Shichiri-mihama Beach on the coast is part of Yoshino-Kumano National Park. The Kisei Main Line runs through the town. Area: 88.13 km2 . Population: 9,376 (2010).
