Japanese: 御坂[町] - みさか

A former town in Higashiyatsushiro County, central Yamanashi Prefecture. The northwestern part is the basin of the Kana River, a tributary of the Fuefuki River, and the southeastern part is part of the Misaka Mountains. Grape and peach cultivation is popular, mainly in the alluvial fan of the Kana River. Roses and other greenhouse horticulture is also practiced. The Kurokoma area has been developed as the Kurokoma Pasture since ancient times, and Misaka Pass is famous as a viewing point for Mt. Fuji. The Misaka New Road (National Route 137) passes through the town. In October 2004, it merged with Kasugai Town in Higashiyamanashi County, and Isawa Town, Ichinomiya Town, Yatsushiro Town, and Sakaigawa Village in Higashiyatsushiro County to become a city, Fuefuki City. Area: 58.37 ^km2 . Population: 12,417 (2003).

山梨県中部，東八代(ひがしやつしろ)郡の旧町。北西部は笛吹川の支流金川の流域で，南東部は御坂山地の一部。金川の扇状地を中心とするブドウ・モモ栽培が盛ん。バラなどの施設園芸も行う。黒駒地区は古代から黒駒牧の地として発達，御坂峠は富士山の展望地として有名。御坂新道（国道137号線）が通じる。2004年10月東山梨郡春日居町，東八代郡石和町，一宮町，八代町，境川村と合併し市制，笛吹市となる。58.37km²。１万2417人（2003）。
