One of the Apocrypha of the Old Testament. It is said to have been written between the mid-2nd century BCE and the mid-1st century CE, and is translated into Greek, Syriac, and Aramaic. It uses the account in 2 Chronicles 33, in which King Manasseh of Judah commits a sin and is saved by a prayer of repentance, to describe prayers of repentance and praise to God.
