Chronicles of Emperor Uda

Japanese:
Chronicles of Emperor Uda
This is the diary of Emperor Uda during his reign. It is also called Kanpei-goki. It is known from Hanazono Tenno-goki that it originally consisted of 10 volumes, but it has been lost and is no longer known. This diary appears to have been highly valued since ancient times for providing precedents for political ceremonies, and is quoted in various books, including ritual books such as Nishinomiya-ki and Ononomiya Nenchu-gyoji. Collections and compilations of these lost writings are included in Zokuzoku Gunsho Ruiju, Retsusei Zenshu, and Zoho Shiryo Taisei. [Yoshioka Saneyuki]
