Born in 1754 in Ise
[Died] 29 January 1819. A painter of the late Edo period in Ise, and lord of Nagashima Domain in Ise Province. His given name was Masataka, and his pen name was Kimise. His pen names included Sessai, Gyokuen, and Tenten-o. He was a junior fifth-rank Kawachi no Kami. Renowned as a man of refined taste, he excelled in poetry, calligraphy, and painting, and in particular studied Ming and Qing painting, becoming an expert in Shen Nanpin-style flower and bird painting and figure painting. He also loved learning, and invited Toji Baigai to the domain to establish a domain school called Bunrei-kan. His major works include "Fakigoshi Shijimei," "Kujaku-zu" (1814), and "Chuchijo" (Chuuchijo) (Tokyo National Museum).

江戸時代後期の画家，伊勢国長島藩主。名は正賢，字は君選。号は雪斎，玉淵，顛々翁など。従五位下河内守。風流人として名高く，詩，書画をよくし，特に絵は明清画を研究して沈南蘋風の花鳥画や人物画を得意とし専門家の域に達した。また学を好み，藩に十時梅厓を招いて文礼館という藩校を設置。主要作品『伐木詩意図』，『孔雀図』 (1814) ，『虫豸帖 (ちゅうちじょう) 』 (東京国立博物館) 。
