Poronaysk (English spelling)
A town in the central part of Sakhalin Oblast (Karafuto), Russian Federation. Terpeniya Bay ( Taraka Bay Taraiwan The town is located at the mouth of the Poronai River, which flows into the Izu Peninsula. Ethnic minorities such as the Uilta and Nivhi live in the area.
