A religious aristocratic family active mainly in the 17th and 18th centuries in the cities of Kashgar and Yarkand in East Turkistan. They are also called the Kashgar Khojas. They are so named because they are a branch of the Naqshbandi sect (Khoja sect) of Bukhara. In addition to their religious authority, they also became economically powerful after the 17th century thanks to donations from the Moghulistan Khan family, and continued to have a major influence on political trends in East Turkistan, such as Muslim rebellions, until the 19th century.
