Horinji Temple

[1] The head temple of the Shotoku sect, located in Mii, Ikaruga-cho , Ikoma- gun, Nara Prefecture. The mountain name is Myoken-san. Founded in 622 by Prince Yamashiro no Oe and others. Originally a branch temple of Horyu-ji, it later became part of Kofuku -ji Ichijo-in. The layout of the temple buildings is in the Horyu-ji style. The temple treasure, a seated statue of Yakushi Nyorai, is a Tori- style Asuka Buddha. Horin-ji. Horin -ji . Mii- dera. [2] A temple of the Gochi sect of Shingon Buddhism, located in Kokuzo-yama-cho, Arashiyama, Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto City. The mountain name is Chifuku-san. It is said to have been founded by Gyoki in 713, and was originally called Kimogami-san Katsuji-ji . In 829, Dosho enshrined a statue of Kokuzo Bosatsu as the principal image, and in 874 , it was renamed to its current name. There is a custom of 13-year-old boys and girls visiting the shrine on the 13th day of the 3rd lunar month (now on or around the 13th of April). One of the three Kokuzo shrines in Japan. [一] 奈良県生駒郡斑鳩(いかるが)町三井にある聖徳宗の本山。山号は妙見山。推古天皇三〇年（六二二）山背大兄王らの創建。もと法隆寺の末寺でのち興福寺一乗院に属する。伽藍(がらん)配置は法隆寺式。寺宝の薬師如来坐像は止利(とり)式の飛鳥仏。法琳寺。法林寺。三井(みい)寺。[二] 京都市西京区嵐山虚空蔵山町にある真言宗五智教団の寺。山号は智福山。和銅六年（七一三）行基の開創と伝えられ、初めは木上山葛井寺と称した。天長六年（八二九）道昌が虚空蔵菩薩像を安置して本尊とし、貞観一六年（八七四）現在名に改称した。陰暦三月一三日（今は四月一三日、またはその前後）に一三歳の少年少女が参詣する十三詣(まいり)の風習がある。日本三虚空蔵の一つ。嵯峨虚空蔵。
