Ukanme no Kimi - Ukame no Kimi

...There are two theories about the origin of the name Nukabe: one is that it is a corrupted version of Ukame, and the other that it is a corrupted version of Nukapup. The former is based on the idea that Nukabe was the residence of Ukamenokimi, an Emishi chief who appears in official histories from the 8th and 9th centuries, while the latter is based on the fact that there was a place called Katsup near the present day city of Aomori.
