A Mongol dynasty (1336-1432) that ruled Iraq and Azerbaijan. Hasan Buzurg (reigned 1336-56), a Jarāyir who served Ilkhan Abu Said (Il-Khan), established his power in Baghdad when the Ilkhanate collapsed. During the reign of Uwais (reigned 56-74), the dynasty annexed Azerbaijan and moved its base to Tabriz. During the reign of Ahmad (reigned 82-1410), the dynasty temporarily lost territory due to the invasion of Timur, but eventually recovered it, but was unable to resist the rise of the Black Sheep Dynasty, and in 1412 it lost Baghdad and rapidly declined.
