? - An early French scholastic philosopher, member of the School of Chartres after 1167. His French name was Bernard Silvestre, and he was also known as Bernard of Tours. He became Chancellor of the Bishop of Chartres around 1156. He is known for his work entitled Cosmology, dedicated to Thierry of Chartres around 1150. Using Chalcidius' Commentary on the Timaeus, this work saw the cosmic soul that gives life to nature as acting according to the ideas of God, a view that was in agreement with Bernard of Chartres.

フランスの初期スコラの哲学者で，シャルトル学派の一人。フランス名はベルナール･シルベストルBernard Silvestreで，トゥールのベルナールとも呼ばれる。1156年ころシャルトル司教座尚書となる。《宇宙論》と題され，1150年ころシャルトルのティエリーに捧げられた著作で知られる。これはカルキディウスの《ティマイオス注解》を用い，自然に生命を与える宇宙霊魂は神のイデアに従って働くと見たもので，シャルトルのベルナールとも一致する見解である。
