Trang (English spelling)
A city on the west coast of the Malay Peninsula in southern Thailand. The capital of Trang Province. Facing the Straits of Malacca, it once flourished as a trading hub. Rubber cultivation and fishing are thriving in the province, tin Tin Offshore are islands such as Ko Mook, Ko Ngai, and Ko Libong, which are popular coastal resorts.

タイ南部、マレー半島西岸の都市。トラン県の県都。マラッカ海峡に面し、かつて交易の拠点として栄えた。県内ではゴムの栽培や漁業が盛んなほか、すずを産する。沖合には海岸保養地として人気があるムック島、ンガイ島、リボン島などの島々が浮かぶ。
