Born: September 10, 1791 in Rome
Died December 21, 1863. Roman Italian poet. He wrote satirical poems in the Roman dialect on the theme of the life of the common people in Rome. He wrote more than 2,000 poems, mainly in sonnet form, between 1830 and 1839. His main works are collected in I sonetti romaneschi di GG Belli (edited by L. Morandi, 6 volumes, 1886-89).

Died June 28, 1797. Milan, Italy. An economist and man of letters. He founded Il Caffe, the most innovative cultural magazine in 18th-century Italy, and served as its editor-in-chief. He was a defender of liberal economics, and Beccaria's famous work Crimes and Punishments was written at his suggestion. His main work is Storia di Milano (2 volumes, 1783-99).

Born: November 9, 1741 in Milan
Died September 23, 1816. Italian novelist and playwright. Together with his brother Pietro, he founded the magazine Il Caffe, and worked on encyclopedic writings as one of its editors. His major works include Notti romane (Roman Nights) (1792) and Congiura di Milano (Milan Conspiracy) (1799).
