Ṛṣabha (English spelling) Rsabha

...The teachings of truth have been passed down from the distant past by these Tirthankaras. The first Tirthankara was called Rishabha (colloquial form Usabha), and Mahavira is said to be the last, 24th patriarch. The previous 23rd patriarch, Parshvanatha, lived about 250 years before Mahavira and is said to have led the Nigantha sect.
