A town in Ikoma County in northwestern Nara Prefecture. It is located at the eastern foot of the Ikoma Mountains, and the Tatsuta River flows north to south through the center of the town. In addition to rice, the town produces cut flowers, vegetables, and fruit. There is also a large greenhouse rose garden. The Kintetsu Ikoma Line runs along the Tatsuta River, and Mount Shigi is located on the southwestern edge of the town. Residential development is progressing. 23.90 km2 . Population: 19,727 (2010).
