A town in Ikoma County in northwestern Nara Prefecture. It is located at the eastern foot of the Ikoma Mountains, and the Tatsuta River flows north to south through the center of the town. In addition to rice, the town produces cut flowers, vegetables, and fruit. There is also a large greenhouse rose garden. The Kintetsu Ikoma Line runs along the Tatsuta River, and Mount Shigi is located on the southwestern edge of the town. Residential development is progressing. 23.90 km2 . Population: 19,727 (2010). 奈良県北西部，生駒(いこま)郡の町。生駒山地の東麓にあり，町の中央を竜田(たつた)川が南北に流れる。米作のほか，切り花，野菜，果樹を産する。大規模な温室バラ園もある。竜田川沿いに近鉄生駒線が通じ，町の南西端に信貴(しぎ)山がある。住宅地化が進んでいる。23.90km2。１万9727人（2010）。
