Murba Party - Partai Murba

Japanese: ムルバ党 - ムルバとう（英語表記）Partai Murba

An Indonesian nationalist political party. It was formed in 1948 by merging the People's Party, the Poor People's Party, and the Independent Indonesian Workers' Party. According to the party platform, "Merba" means "the majority of Indonesian society, the people who own nothing but their own minds and bodies," and is divided into industrial, agricultural, commercial, and urban Murba. It advocated anti-fascism, anti-imperialist, and anti-capitalist policies, and aimed to achieve complete independence and create a socialist society unique to Indonesia that was not under the umbrella of the Soviet Union.
