Florianus for the imperial throne and defeat him. He suppressed barbarian invasions and rebellions from Britain to the Danube, as well as in Syria and Egypt. He tried to rebuild agriculture, and established grape cultivation in Gaul (France) and Pannonia (eastern Austria and Hungary), but his subordinates betrayed him and he was killed.
